Icom is making some awesome base transceivers these days. The one thing I like in their transceiver design is the big boxy look. They also have many different buttons and controls to learn and have fun with. As far as ratings and reviews go, they do very well for themselves. If you check out eham.net you will find that they are just awesome ham radios. In fact the Icom 7200 HF, 50mhz transceiver has an awesome 4.8 out 5 rating at about 176 reviews.
